Printing Bookplates – Evening session (3 hours)

Description

Celebrating books with Derby Book Festival!

Have fun creating your own bookplates in this evening session at our studio.

Set a small piece of text combined with ornaments from our collection to create your very own bookplates. During the session, you will get to grips with the traditional technique of letterpress using an Adana tabletop press and metal type.

You will be guided in composition techniques by our printer Chris, and print the final design onto high quality paper. Expect to take up to 15-25 bookplates away with you.

These workshops aren’t suitable for children under the age of 16 or for people who can’t stand for long periods of time.

This workshop runs from 18.00pm to 21.00pm and costs just £69 £55.20 per person!
