The Smallprint Company reserves the right to substitute discontinued stock items with the closest available alternatives.
Q. Do you teach bespoke leather journal workshops or courses?
A. This isn't currently something we offer but we can make enquiries on your behalf with our network of talented bookbinders.
Q. Do you offer bookbinding courses?
A. Currently we don't offer bookbinding workshops due to other work commitments. If you would like to be added to our waiting list please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll let you know when they restart.
Q. I have been given a Smallprint Co gift voucher and I'd like to enquire about available dates to redeem it. Do you offer weekend or evening slots, or is it just week days, 12-4pm?
A. We offer letterpress workshops Monday - Saturday between 10.30am and 4pm. Evening slots are sometimes available, so email email@example.com with some suggested dates and times and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Q. I'd like to make a poster of a special occasion, to remind me of the time. Is this something you could do or I could come and have a go at for an afternoon? I see that you offer wedding preparation sessions but this isn't for a wedding.
A. Yes of course! We can print your ideas or you are very welcome to come and print it yourself. See the links below to learn more about these 2 options.
Bespoke Orders: Production Timing
Timings vary and cover the various stages of production – receiving your job, logging the job, typesetting, proofing, approval, sending to print, printing, finishing and packing:
Once a quote has been agreed, please allow:
- up to five working days for proofing
- up to ten working days after approval of proof for despatch of goods.
These are target dates and not guaranteed and during certain busier times of the year we can take up to a week longer.
Proofs will be issued within two working days of receipt of order and agreement of quote.
The goods are dispatched within five working days of completion of print. Please allow an additional two days if your job requires finishing services.
There is an extra charge of £40 for the first order on Express service, and an additional £6 for other orders placed at the same time.
There is a minimum five working days turn around.
Please note that some papers are not held in-house which can delay the Express Service.
We can supply samples of the products illustrated on this website (which are not personalised at this stage).
There is a charge of £5 for this service, which is refundable should you subsequently place an order.
Bespoke Orders: Proofs & Cancellations
First proofs are free of charge. Colour proofs can be emailed and black and white paper proofs can be posted.
IMPORTANT Please check all aspects of the proof before amending and approving. We do not re-proof unless specifically requested to do so and a further charge of £10 will be made.
Cancellations made after design stage will be charged at £35 per job.
Cancellations made after the design and proof stage will be charged at £50 per stage.
Cancellations made after printing stage will be charged at the full price of the job.
We despatch to the UK and internationally by Royal Mail and Royal Mail Special Delivery services and prices vary depending on the size and weight of the package. Courier services are available on request. Please specify at time of ordering. You’ll be able to see the shipping cost at the time of checkout.
Although we generally dispatch all orders within 24 hours, it may take up to 2-3 working days for orders to be dispatched. We will notify you of store closures for family holidays and provide information of the earliest date for dispatch.
Please allow up to 14 days for your item to be delivered within the UK, 4 weeks for your item to be delivered within Europe or the US and 6 weeks for all other international destinations. We will not be able to take any further action with regard your delivery before these delivery times have elapsed.
It is your responsibility to provide up to date and accurate shipping address and contact information. Please ensure the address given for delivery is one where there is someone available to sign for the parcel during the day (eg neighbour or work address).

Complaints and Refunds
We try our hardest to provide the very best service and the very best product and we are proud of our reputation. If you have a complaint, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will endeavour to remedy situations quickly and smoothly when we receive a complaint.
The Smallprint Company does not sell, trade, rent or pass on your information to other parties. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information you have provided to process your orders and to provide an efficient service.
We may use the information we collect to inform you about important changes to the website, new services, and products which we think you may find of interest. We may send emails to you from time to time, and within these emails there is an opportunity for you to unsubscribe.
