What Happens If an Item is Out of Stock?

The Smallprint Company reserves the right to substitute discontinued or out of stock items with the closest available alternatives.
This Shipping Policy (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) describes how the orders are shipped, when you place orders with The Smallprint Company on our website, i.e. https://smallprintcompany.co.uk/ or https://smallprintcompany.com/ (hereinafter referred to as the Website or Site).
ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES AND FEES
We, The Smallprint Company, will do our best to meet the advertised delivery (shipping) estimates, but we cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the delivery method and carrier you have selected.
a) Delivery Service: We ship to the UK and internationally. We use the services of third-party delivery service providers for shipping all the orders placed by our customers. The third-party logistics that we presently use are Royal Mail, DPD, Parcel Force and DHL. Our most common provider, Royal Mail, bases shipping price on size & weight. Occasionally some items will travel without tracking. This flexibility allows us to keep postage prices as low as possible without actually affecting the speed with which you receive them. If you would like your order to be tracked please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will re-quote the delivery fee. It is standard practice for all orders over £20 to travel with tracking.
b) Processing and Delivery Time: Although we generally dispatch all orders within 24 hours, it may take up to 2-3 working days for orders to be dispatched. Typically, your order will arrive the next day but it may take longer. We will notify you of store closures of one week or more (eg family holidays) and provide information of the earliest date for dispatch. Delivery time will vary from location to location and is dependent on the delivery method used.
c) Important Note: Delivery times are often subject to change based on industrial or business disruption, shortage of an item, bad weather, transit time of your carrier, destination address, or Covid related restrictions etc. Processing and shipping times may increase during holidays and other peak seasons. Please allow up to 14 days for your item to be delivered within the UK, 4 weeks for your item to be delivered within Europe or the US and 6 weeks for all other international destinations. We will not be able to take any further action regarding your delivery before these delivery times have elapsed.
d) Fees: We charge a shipment fee that is calculated based on your location. Charges are calculated automatically when you check out. If you have any questions about delivery, then please ask and we will help you.
e) Shipping Address and Contact Information: It is your responsibility to provide up to date and accurate shipping address and contact information. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to change the shipping address or the shipping method selected after checkout as orders can be processed immediately on receipt – if you become aware of any discrepancy in your shipping address then please get in touch with us at email@example.com straight away. Whilst we will do our best to assist, we cannot accept responsibility for any items that are shipped to an incorrect address as a result of being provided with that information by you.
Please email us prior to placing your order to upgrade your delivery for an additional cost. Currently we aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days, unless a Shipping Upgrade is requested. Delivery times vary with your chosen method of shipping and , for overseas shipping, on customs clearance.
- Special Delivery (UK): 24 hours or 48 hours.
- Europe Airmail Special: 4-5 working days.
- North America, Australia, New Zealand and Oceania: 5-10 working days
- World Airmail: 10-12 working days.
- World Airmail Special: 7 working days.
CUSTOMS AND IMPORT TAXES
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes and local taxes that may apply. The Smallprint Company is not responsible for delays due to customs.
ORDERS, SHIPMENT, FAILED DELIVERY, AND DAMAGED/OPENED BOX
a) Not for Commercial Purpose: You cannot buy our products for a commercial purpose, unless allowed by us. No use of our intellectual property may be made without our express written consent.
b) Assumption of Risk: You will assume the risk for the products once they have been delivered to the delivery address which you specified. We or our delivery partners accept no liability where you provide an incorrect delivery address or where you fail to collect the products from the delivery address which you specified.
c) Failed Delivery: If your package cannot be delivered to the shipping address provided by you for the reasons such as an incorrect shipping address and/or incorrect phone number, the package will be returned to us at your expense.
d) If you fail to pick-up: If the receiver is absent upon all delivery attempts, your package will be held at a local centre of one of our third-party logistic service providers for pick up. If you fail to pick up the package from there for any reason, the package will be returned to us at your expense.
e) Refusal by you/receiver: If you/your receiver refuses receipt of your package, the package will be returned to us at your expense.
f) Damaged/Open Box: In case you receive your package as damaged and/or opened, please take a photo of the damage before checking the contents inside. Please also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note, tracked shipping is available for an extra charge. If you opt for it, as soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number that you can use to continually check its status. Please allow us up to 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within the period communicated to you in your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at email@example.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
THIRD PARTY DELIVERY SERVICE PROVIDERS
We do hope that you are very happy with what you receive. If you are not, then please get in touch within 5 days of receiving your product. You must return the order to us, in its original condition, within 28 days in order to get an exchange or refund.
Any returned items will be refunded immediately minus the cost of the initial postage fee. Any faulty items must be returned to us before a replacement or refund is provided. We will only replace with the same item.
If you do send items back then please use a secure postage method, so that you can track the package. The item is your responsibility until we receive it.
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Custom or personalised orders
- Digital downloads
- Gift vouchers
The Smallprint Company does not accept cancellations but please contact us if you have any problems with your order.
CONDITIONS OF RETURN
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
All prices are based on current Royal Mail guidelines.
All prices are subject to change and we retain the right to adjust prices at any given moment. Currently we do not add VAT to our products and services.
All products sold by The Smallprint Company are subject to shipping charges unless a promotional code is used. Should shipping not be calculated correctly by the website, we shall contact you to refund or invoice accordingly.
User Comments, Feedback, Postcards and Other Submissions
You agree that none of the Comments submitted by you to the Site will violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary right(s). You further agree that none of the Comments submitted by you to the Site will be or contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material. You are and shall remain solely responsible for the content of any Comments you make.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold The Smallprint Company harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, proceedings, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from or related to your use of the Site.
Links to Other Web Sites
To the extent that this Site contains links to outside services and resources, including other websites, the availability and content of which The Smallprint Company does not own, operate or control, any concerns regarding any such service or resource, or any link thereto, should be directed to the particular outside service, resource or website. Any such links are provided solely as a convenience to you. If you click on these links, you will leave this Site. The Smallprint Company makes no representations or warranties concerning and is not responsible for the content, information or other material on or accessed from any other websites that are not owned, operated or controlled by The Smallprint Company.
The Smallprint Company assumes no responsibility for, has provided relevant warranties (either express or implied) for, and shall not be liable for, any damages to, interruption of service or viruses that may infect your computer or telecommunications equipment arising from your access to or use of this site and its contents. In no event shall The Smallprint Company or any of its affiliated entities or suppliers or their respective officers, directors, attorneys, employees or agents be liable for any indirect, special, punitive, incidental, economic, exemplary or consequential loss or damage even if The Smallprint Company has been previously advised of the possibility of such loss or damage, whether in tort, under contract, negligence or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use, inability to use or performance of the information, services, products and materials available from the site. From time to time there may be information on this Site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including those that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, and availability. We reserve the right to revoke offers or correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales. You shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales but we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.

Third party trade names, product names and logos, contained in this website may be the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.
This Agreement is effective unless and until terminated by either you or The Smallprint Company. You may terminate this Agreement at any time. The Smallprint Company also may terminate this Agreement at any time and may do so immediately without notice, and accordingly deny you access to the Site, if in The Smallprint Company’s sole discretion you fail to comply with any term or provision of this Agreement.
