Hold your party at The Smallprint Co. - the perfect treat for children’s and teen birthday parties!
Our arty party birthday ideas will always keep your children and their friends entertained and each guest gets to take their prints away with them.
Slots are available on Saturdays (10.30am or 2.30pm) and weekday evenings from 4.30pm (please note that we are closed on Bank Holidays).
Choose from different print activities:
Each guest gets to take their prints away with them.
• Print a poem, song lyrics or a quote from a favourite book as a poster
• Print names on bookmarks
• Create a TypeFace poster – create a face using the wooden type as features. A great activity for
younger children!
Party Package One
For up to 3-6 children. This package is recommended for younger children.
Choose a print activity:
- Print your name on a bookmark
- Create a TypeFace poster. Create a fun face using the wooden type as the features.
The Two Hour Room Hire includes
- 1.5 hour printing time – choose an activity from above
- Craft activities (ie the funky Spirograph and rubber stamping)
- Room hire of the Print Studio, Creative Space and in the warmer months, the Courtyard
- FREE squash for the children
- FREE tea and coffee for adult helpers
- FREE party invitations to download
£50 room hire + £5 per head (£70-£80).
Please note that there’s a minimum charge of £70 for this package.
Party Package Two
For 4–10 children. This package is recommended for older children / teens.

The Three Hour Room Hire includes
- 2.5 hour printing time
- Craft activities (ie making a zine, the funky Spirograph and rubber stamping)
- Room hire of the Print Studio, Creative Space and in the warmer months, the Courtyard
- FREE squash for the children
- FREE tea and coffee for adult helpers
- FREE party invitations to download
£50 room hire + £9 per head (£113-£140).
Please note that there’s a minimum charge of £113 for this package.
Room Hire includes:
Instruction and supervision from our experienced printer and party host in our Derby studio
- Materials plus activities ie creating a zine, Spirograph and rubber stamps to enjoy when you’re not printing
- Use of The Creative Space, and in the warmer months, the Courtyard, to relax and enjoy refreshments.
You’re welcome to have food delivered or bring your own food and birthday cake.

- Minimum group size for Package 1 is 3 children and for Package 2 is 4 children.
- Minimum age: 6 years and upwards
You Also Need To Know
- Printers will have use of our aprons but do remember that it’s an inky activity!
- We are just outside the Derby city centre, next door to Annie’s Burger Shack and close to many car parks.
- Please remember that we are a working studio and adult supervision is required throughout your child’s time with us.
