Creative Space
Creative Space bookings in the studio. Adjacent to our working letterpress studio and separated by folding doors, is a flexible space that benefits from the gentle buzz of a creative environment.
If you’re looking for an inspirational place to work, the Creative Space is perfect for creative activities on your own or in small groups. It’s perfect for informal meetings, networking, talks, small parties (including children’s parties), creative activities and hot-desking.
The Creative Space is available to hire on an hourly or daily basis, with Wi-Fi and all other bills included. There are also kitchen and WC facilities at your disposal and in the summer months, it may be possible to spill out into the courtyard to the rear of the studio (subject to British weather!).
To fully appreciate the space and the flexibility that we offer, we recommend a visit.

- Opening Hours are between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday
- Out of Hours are between 5pm and 9pm, Monday to Friday

The Creative Space is available to hire by the hour or by the day.
Please note that The Creative Space is not fully enclosed and we can be open to the public / working in the studios to the rear. However, exclusive hire is available. Please enquire.
Enjoy Your Stay
We don’t provide food but you’re most welcome to bring refreshments with you. Refreshments can be enjoyed in the Creative Space or our little courtyard during the warmer months.

About The Smallprint Co.
Hannah and Chris have brought their passion for print to the high street with their boutique studio close to the centre of Derby and its famous Cathedral Quarter. The team prints letterpress commissions for private clients and small businesses, facilitates workshops on and off site and produces a range of popular greetings cards for retail. A gallery is situated to the front of the studio which shows work by printmakers and workshop attendees alike. They welcome volunteers to the studio to help with cataloguing their expanding collection of type too, so get in touch if you fancy getting your hands inky!
