Children’s Print Party
Children’s Print Party at The Smallprint Co’s print studio – suitable for all ages.
Our arty party birthday ideas will always keep your children and their friends entertained. Slots available on Saturdays (10.30am or 2.30pm) and weekday evenings from 4.30pm.
Choose from different print activities. Each guest gets to take their prints away with them:
• Print a poem, song lyrics or a quote from a favourite book as a poster
For younger children, create a TypeFace poster:
- Print names on bookmarks
- Create a face using the wooden type as features
Party Package One
4-6 children (minimum 4)
Two Hour Room Hire includes
– 1.5 hour printing time
– Spirograph and rubber stamping activities
– Room hire of Print Studio, Creative Space and Courtyard in the warmer months
– FREE squash for the children
– FREE tea and coffee for adult helpers
– FREE party invitations to download
£50 room hire + £5 per head (£70-£80)

7-12 children
Three Hour Room Hire includes
– 2.5 hour printing time
– Spirograph and rubber stamping activities
– Room hire of Print Studio, Creative Space and Courtyard in the warmer months
– FREE squash for the children
– FREE tea and coffee for adult helpers
– FREE party invitations to download
£65 room hire + £5 per head (£100-£125)
Room Hire
Room hire includes instruction and supervision from our experienced printer, in our Derby studio
• Materials plus spirograph and rubber stamp activities for when you’re not printing
• Use of the Creative Space and the Courtyard in the warmer months for refreshments and relaxing
Bringing your own food? No problem! Just £1 per head set up or pre-order a just-eat.co.uk maybe!

Be prepared with an idea of what you’d like to print for this experience. We recommend that you have something written down for reference – no more than 10 words ideally. Not sure what to print? We have a library of typography, letterpress and print books to inspire to browse before the session.

About The Smallprint Co.
Hannah and Chris have brought their passion for print to the high street with their boutique studio close to the centre of Derby and its famous Cathedral Quarter. The team prints letterpress commissions for private clients and small businesses, facilitates workshops on and off site and produces a range of popular greetings cards for retail. A gallery is situated to the front of the studio which shows work by printmakers and workshop attendees alike. They welcome volunteers to the studio to help with cataloguing their expanding collection of type too, so get in touch if you fancy getting your hands inky!
