A few months ago we were invited down to Birmingham to view the Winterbourne Press. The press can be found in the gentle, leafy suburb of Edgbaston, on a University of Birmingham campus, in the grounds of Winterbourne House.
The name Winterbourne had been brought to our attention in recent times, so we were particularly pleased when Lee contacted us to ask whether we offer consultancy services. We headed down for a chat and a wander around the site and were delighted to find several well stocked studios in beautiful surroundings… how could we say no?!
Chris will be supporting the development of Winterbourne Press by training their volunteers and developing a new range of merchandise for their gift shop. We’re also looking forward to collaborating on some projects in the future.

The Winterbourne Press: The Development of a Valuable Resource
” The Winterbourne Press was launched in 2013 and has since then become an engaging and educational aspect of the visitor experience at Winterbourne House & Garden.
With a growing nationwide interest in the tactile process of letterpress printing, the Press has been an important resource for academics, students and all those interested in recent years. The conservation and restoration of a growing number of historic presses has helped ensure this valuable resource is here for generations to come and forms part of Winterbourne’s museum collections.”
